Yesterday DS's (and my) behavior was appaling. Ds (4 next month)goes to nursey 4 afternoons a week, and those 4 days goe swimmingly!

We chill out in the morning and get ready, maybe go for a swim etc, do some baking or housework, then he goes to nursery at 1 till 5.30pm.

He doesn't go on Mondays, and I did 2 10 hours shifts at the weekend, making me tired and cranky.

We had an awful day. DS wouldn't do ANYTHING, created like mad when we had to do the weekly shop, was hyper, gosh it was awful. I was snappy, intolerant and had had enough!

Of course today I feel awful about it. We have baked, and I have been uber good Mum, although Im quite looking forward to taking him to nursery!

Please tell me I'm not a horrible tetchy Mum who can't stand her kid anymore!

Don't worry we all have days like this - You were tired and he was probably tired to and you both picked up on each others tiredness/iritability. I'm sure you're a great mum [hugs]

Please don't beat yourself up. It happens to us all. I am sure you are an excellent mum.

I am surprised that you don't do the weekly shop while he is at nursery. Would it be financially affordable to put him in nursery for a fifth afternoon to give you time to do the boring jobs.

I have to admit that when my son is tired and impossible I have sometimes plonked him infront of the TV and put a DVD on.
