HELP!!! DD holding on too long then dribbles in pants

Help please my dd was doing so well 6 dry days, then she has started having part wet pants when she gets to the potty, HV says she is holding on too long so try reminding her, i;ve done this but no joy, i dont understand why she was fine one week then suddenly is doing this?? NEED advice going mad

Children can dribble up to the age of 6 their bladders are 'unstable' and still learning! She is doing really well!

So just go with it? will it be something she grows out of eventually?

i'd say go with it for now. if your getting trought oo many bottoms i would recommend the bright bot pants, they look and feel like normal knickers but have just enough abosrbance to cope with dribbles with out leaking onto trousers or tights

it just depends on how quickly her bladder develops good tone.. most children develop it quickly some take months years even if its just a little dribble yes go with it, the bright bots pants are good and will stop her getting sore!

extreemly common! I only know as two of mine are dribblers and we went to the paed dept and were told they will just grow out of it.. secnd one grew out of it in a few months! first still a bit leaky does huge wee's but in between

Thank you so much its my first DD and i panic about everything bit of a worrier!! But you have put my mind at rest completly thank you mumsnet again beats the hv IMHO
