Teething or something else?

Hi,

I think my 17 month old molars are coming through. She seems in discomfort when she eats, touching her mouth a lot and I can feel some bumps under the gums.

She has been unwell like this for 3 days now, but she also is very sleepy. Sleeping 12 hours at night (that's normal) but then having 3 naps in the day when usually she battles one. She had a temperature 2 days ago that subsided very quickly and easily with baby nurofen. Lasted less than 24 hours.

She's not herself in that she's not eating much at all which I've put down to the pain, but she's not playing or smiling really either.

Did anyone else experience this with teething? As she hasn't got a temperature etc I haven't taken her to a doctor but considering if I should. She's drinking lots of water luckily.

For the most part, I could’ve written this myself. My daughter turned 1 two weeks ago and I kid you not, ever since she turned one, she’s completely changed. Dribbling terribly to the point she completely soaks her top, constant fingers in her mouth, nappy rash, refusing food (extremely out of character, she loves her food and always cries for more)… clingy and overall, crying all the time. She’s usually a very happy baby. Gums seem swollen and I can feel them coming through. But it’s been going on for what seems like forever. Not really had temperatures though

@3lele sorry to hear your little one is struggling too! It's so hard isn't it when nothing seems to help.

Hoping the teeth make an appearance for all of us asap!
