Sheepskin liner in pram for newborn?

Hi,

FTM looking for some advice or experience please. I've seen that sheepskin liners are meant to be good for temperature regulation in prams. I have a bassinet style pram for my newborn, due in December. I haven't been able to work out from looking online whether it is recommended that a sheepskin liner is used from birth when out and about. I can imagine it would be quite snuggly in the winter and there are varieties available to fit a bassinet shape however I also understand that safe sleep advice is for babies to lie on a flat, firm surface.

I'm just wondering whether this also applies to a sheepskin liner in a pram, and what others have done? I'm not sure whether it is something to introduce at a later stage when she'll be sitting up instead?

Thank you in advance!

You can get sheepskins which are shorn quite short. There are specialist 'short' ones used in geriatric care which aid circulation and prevent bedsores.

Thanks! Maybe I'll look into one like that. 😊
