1 year vaccinations and antibiotics?

Hey guys. My 12 month old has his 1 year vaccinations tomorrow and he also has an ear infection that he’s taking antibiotics (amoxicillin) for. Is it okay to get the vaccines while he’s taking antibiotics? His ear infection is a lot better but he still has to take the full course of antibiotics.

It’s up to the vaccinator. If he’s at the very end of the course, and fully better, I probably would to make sure he’s covered for those nasty diseases.
But if you’re still giving Calpol/ibuprofen and he’s not eating/playing/sleeping normally, I wouldn’t.

Well, his course of antibiotics has finished now and he does seem better although I do still sometimes give him calpol for his teething. The antibiotics has finished but I’m not sure if his ear infection has completely cleared up? He does seem a lot better though

If the antibiotics have finished and he’s well I’d give them.

My daughter had a low grade cold for one of her 1 year vaccines and they said as long as she didn't have a fever she was fine to have it.
