Is it normal for A&E staff to want to know the names of all my children?

My youngest hurt her arm last night, so we're at A&E this morning because she's not weight baring anymore.
Anyway, I gave them her details and then they asked the full names of all my other kids (I brought them with me). Why did they ask for that info? Surely they don't need it when I'm only here to get my youngest seen.
It just seemed odd to me. Is that normal?

Yes, it’s normal where I am every time I’ve taken one of my children to hospital they ask if there’s any social services involvement and who lives at home with us.

Yeah they have set questions they have to ask. Nothing sinister.

Yes they will check how often your other kids have been to A&E and possibly also check wirh school and nursery if they have lots of accidents/injuries.

I believe it’s standard practice. They usually go through sets of questions related to safeguarding - doesn’t mean anything concerning.

how old is your youngest?
