Newborn vs Up to 1 month

I’m due my second soon, I’ve only bought up to 1 month sizing instead of newborn. My first was born 6lbs3 so was in newborn, but this one is estimated bigger, so expecting an average sized baby.

Do I need to get some newborn stuff too, or did you find up to 1 month was fine for yours? It says up to 10lbs, but suppose baby is born around 7.5lbs!

I'm in the same boat and have gone with a few new newborn things (having same sex so have plenty from last time).

My DD was 6lbs 1 and was a good 8 weeks old before she was out of newborn. I'm thinking even if DC2 is over 1lbs heavier that up to 10lbs will be too large for 3/4 weeks x

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 i think you’re probably right!

I’ve just bought some basics in first size (7.5lbs I think?) from Next. 7 sleepsuits, 7 short sleeve vests, 7 long sleeve vests, and a pram suit. I reckon that should do us until the up to 1 month fits (albeit maybe with rolled up sleeves!)

I kept clothing too but for some reason gave away all the newborn and tiny baby, and kept 0-3 onwards. It was the start of the first lockdown and I think I just wanted rid. 😐

Yes I have done similar and needed a pram suit as last baby was born at start of lockdown as well and it wasn't cold enough for a tiny pram suit.

I will definitely be getting rid of all the clothes after this baby. I have so much up the attic 😱 x
