Any other babies not interested in purées / solids?

Almost 8 month old still not interested in solids. At the beginning he likes fruit purées but refused all savoury foods. Shortly after starting weaning decided he didn’t want anything. He cries in the high chair. If I give him finger food or spoon to hold he waves it around but will not put near his mouth yet EVERYTHING else goes into his mouth. I’m starting to feel a bit disheartened.

My 8.5 month old has very little interest when I try and feed him. He will sometimes suck on a piece of toast.
He is at nursery 3 days a week though and eats there! No idea how or why but refuses to eat for me, he only wants breastmilk.

Mine was like this, she was a month premature and just not interested. Wouldn’t feed herself finger foods and wouldn’t open mouth for spoon feeding. I was starting to get really worried but then one day when she was 9 months old (adjusted age) she started eating and now she’s been okay ever since. Just keep offering and trying and hopefully he will get there.

My 9 month old has only just started eating better in the last week or so. I'd just try to relax a bit more about it now and focus on positive associations, let him just mess about with the food. DD still now messes with her food for like 5-10 mins before putting it in her mouth.
