Separation Anxiety Advice

Currently on mat leave due to return to work in a couple of months (2 days a week) with the plan being my mum will look after DD (8m).

She is currently watching DD once a week for an hour whilst I take DS to a club. This has been happening for about 8 weeks and everytime I get back DD has been inconsolable for the most part and mum is getting a bit disheartened.

We see her at least a couple of times a week for at least a few hours each time and DD is happy, smiley and engaging with her during these time.

We’re currently dealing with her being distraught if we leave the room (especially me) and her sleep has also started to be affected so there’s definitely separation anxiety going on.

Never had this with DS so any advice on how to get her more comfortable leaving her with my mum would be much appreciated.
