Hello. Can anyone please share anything that actually helped with their teething babies? I’m pulling my hair out. I don’t think Bonjela is helping much

Depends what the symptoms are. So much baby behaviour is chalked up to teething when it might be something completely unrelated.

@VivaVivaa hello, shes very unsettled, not eating, dribbling like mad and keeps putting her fingers in the mouth. Her gums are very bumpy and teeth are coming through

Calpol is the best remedy if not eating. Once it kicks in you should notice she can start feeding properly for a bit.

Agree with PP. If she’s over 5 months, try the anbesol liquid (not the gel), worked much better than Bonjela.

Anbesol liquid and paracetamol elixir.

Anbesol liquid (get it over the counter)
And ibuprofen

Which bonjela have you got? You want something with lidocaine in – we've always used anbesol (liquid is easier to apply, but we got the gel at one point when liquid wasn't available, and it's not that tricky – and is harder to spill in the middle of the night). It works really quickly too.

Calpol or nurofen, preferably nurofen, before bed for longer acting pain relief.

Agree with anbesol liquid and Calpol/nurofen. DS also liked some of those water filled teethers that go in the fridge.
