Im currently on the hunt for some fun toys for my DS for age 12 months + for xmas

The fisher price kick and play has been brilliant for the younger baby age, can anyone recommend some great interactive toys, the noisier the better 🤣

Thanks! 🧑‍🎄🎄

Great age for play tables. There are LOTS out there. Perfect for cruising/toddling around. We had 2 different Fisher price ones, both brilliant. Vtech have dinner to choose from that are noisy. Learning tree is a good one of theirs.

You're entering the age for play kitchens etc. Always a massive winner. Do take up a lot of space though.

Mark making is also very popular for this age group. You can get mats that you paint with water - much less mess thanother alternatives! Magnetic sketch thingies also good for this. Actual paints/pens canrequire very close supervision....

Big hits for our two at 12-15 months(some noisy, some not) were a xylophone, a small rag doll, a scuttlebug, duplo (not so much to build yet, but they loved rummaging through it), lift the flap books, and a baby einstein toy that lights up and says different colours/animals/musical notes as you press the different buttons.

Ours has adored a Tomy egg toy that’s like an icecream can sort of thing and you put plastic disks in it . I got it on Amazon recently and he uses it for hours (19 months old)

Not noisy things sorry, but from 12-18 months mine was keen on

  • opening and closing doors
  • putting things inside cupboards or posting things
  • light switches and latches
  • pushing things around like a pretend shopping trolley and putting things inside it

Anything that was a brightly coloured plasticy toy was ignored on the whole tbh. A busy board would be a great idea or a play kitchen
