Sleepover for 12 yo Boys - Tips Please

DS wants a sleepover for his 12 birthday with 7 of his friends. 8 total.

Am I utterly mad to consider it? He wants to do it in the lounge, play computer games/watch films/eat food.

I'm fearing the lounge/sofas may get jumped on, spilt on, wrecked... And or they will run out of things to occupy themselves with and there will be inevitable squabbles.

I am fully expecting no sleep for them or us...

Any tips/advice???

I did it and it was exactly as you described.

I couldn't think of anything worse. I'm really mean and don't let them have sleep overs. My kids are very hyper though.
