Wwyd allegation at kids school

Hi, just wanted some advice.
So an allegation was made against a member of staff in my kids school. The allegation was that this person had been looking under the girls toilets.

Police and LADO were involved and they said nothing was found. The toilets do have cameras around them. This man has not been back to school but apparently he does have a past as some people know him. The principle and this man's family etc are in a church group for the last few years and are very close, I've also been told that a DBS check may not have been done by the principal when he was employed, but wouldn't this come up when the investigation took place?

Im worried about sending my kids back to this school, my partner wants to keep them in this school.

My friend also knows someone who was going to put their kids in this school a few months back, but as soon as she saw the man in school, she said she won't be putting them in the school and moved cities entirely.

Now I do overthink alot but my worry is that the principal may employ someone else with a past again despite knowing they have a past if you get me? I'm I overthinking this? Nearest other school is a 5 minutes drive away, but the kids are settled in this school.

Wwyd if you were in my situation?

If there was any evidence or any history that the man was a danger to children he would be sacked.i would probably stop listening to gossip if I were you.

So the police and LADO found nothing. So - innocent

and yet he has not been permitted to return to school?

The amount of “apparently” and “someone said” “my friend said”

It sounds like you're worried about safeguarding at the school? You can always contact ofsted with your concerns. They will be able to check definitively whether correct procedures are being followed.
