DD is nearly 4 and is SO negative! She’s always been a very upbeat, happy child (although very shy and cautious and not a fan of throwing herself into things) but recently the whingeing has ramped up to epic levels and we’re taking a daily battering of moaning about things taking a long time, not being done quickly enough, muttering under her breath and then refusing to speak up / angrily dismissing us, she now openly pushes back against saying please/thank you, tells me I’m “ruining her life” etc. If we try and leave her with anyone outside of our immediate family or nursery there’s tears, pleading not to be left etc am seriously worrying about how we’re going to get her to go into school next year. Is this just a normal phase? We sort of skipped any terrible twos but feels like we’re heading into fearsome fours and I’m not sure how to cope - it all feels so personal at the moment, I want my sweet smiley girl back!
