Bottle steriliser next to toilet?

Hi, with all the new baby equipment we are struggling yes pace in our kitchen. We have a large electric steam steriliser which would ideally go in the utility just off the kitchen. Unfortunately this is right next to the downstairs WC which is frequently used by other members of the family. Is this hygienic? Just wondering where everyone else stores theirs?
TIA x

Is there a door separating the loo/utility?

Yes there is a door separating the two rooms, but my younger kids often don’t close it when using the downstairs WC!

Perhaps not too helpful, but would help with space - we used to have a device that went in the microwave and steam sterilised six bottles at once. I think I would be a bit uncomfortable sterilising bottles next to the toilet door personally.
