What buggy would you get in my shoes?!

I’m due DC3 just after Xmas. I already have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. The 4 year old is generally a good walker although had some delays with gross motor development due to low tone and so does occasionally use the buggy board particularly on the way home from school when tired (I’m only mentioning this because I’m fully expecting for someone to tell me it’s ridiculous that a 4 year old uses a buggy board sometimes).

I know some people might say to just have a normal pram for the baby and then a buggy board but the 2 year old is partial to the odd toddler tantrum and I need to be able to restrain her occasionally. I will often have all three on the school run so if I just have a bassinet then I can’t put the 2yo in it even if baby is in a sling.

When I had DC2 she was mainly in the sling and I barely used the double buggy. However one I had then had a toddler seat and a bassinet so I could have baby and toddler in there if needed. The one I have now doesn’t have a baby seat and can only be used from 6 months.

So I guess in an ideal world I want a double buggy with a toddler seat and a bassinet that can then be swapped for a toddler seat, plus a buggy board?! Or is this a bit over the top?! Ideally I’d also like to be able to swap the bassinet for the car seat in case baby falls asleep in the car. Does this buggy exist?!

Baby jogger double and buy the adapters for the different bits you need.

Double outNabout. I fit 3 on mine as my eldest often sits/rests in the front foot plate (wheel locked). There’s a carrycot attachment that means baby can parent face. But no car seat attachment (at least on older models)

Thanks @anon0007 i currently have a baby jogger double (side by side) but I can’t see anywhere to put a bassinet or to attach a car seat. So only certain models have this feature? Sorry I’m clueless 😬

I second the double OutNAbout, we don't use ours at the moment, but when we do DC love it.

@Guibhyl it should be where the hoods are clipped in on the chassis.

Uppa baby vista? Or cybex gazelle? I think they're both pricy but they can have a board as well a lots of two seat configurations

We had a baby jogger city mini double from birth with our twins as could swap in our 2 year old when needed, or use sling (back carry for 2 year old) or front for baby twin. Never needed bassinet as it lies flat so seats can be used from birth.

Pricey but what about the Bugaboo Donkey?

I candy peach 7, you can have a second seat and make it a double (tandem not side by side) so it will fit through doors and then also have it as just a single. It has a built in ride on board too .

I work in the baby industry and would recommend a Cybex Gazelle, it’s so easy to adjust into a single or double and to add a buggyboard. Or if you can still find any (they are discontinued but a new version coming out in spring), the iCandy orange 3 as it has a built in buggy board.
The issue with the baby jogger and out’n’about is they can’t be used as a single (and personally when I had 2 under 2 it didn’t fit through my door which was annoying when one or occasionally both fell asleep!)
The donkey is lovely but wide and looks a bit weird as a single, plus it’s £1660!
good luck!

I had a Phil and Ted's dot when I had third baby. I had a 2yr old and a 4yr old as well. The then 4yr old was a late walker with a hip issue so would tire easily, when she was tired she would just sit on the front wheel plate. I have also managed to put a buggy board on the back so could take all three on it comfortably
