I have a curtain spread out on the back yard with piles of washed stuff waiting as my tumble drier, already on its last legs, can't keep up. There is a big pile of rancid quilts and pillows in the alley way, and I'm just off to Asda to replace all my bedding....my lovely ds is in love with being in 'mommys bed' and threw up about 3 gallons of spew on it last night, whilst waiting for me to strip his bed! It was honestly like that sketch from Little Britain with the old lady!!! Am wavering between hysterical laughter and broken weeping.....

At least it was your own child's vom. I recently had to do the same when my DD has a sleepover....... ewwwwwwww.

oohh cubby cubby cubby - me and you both love. My DS (10yrs) has had a hacking cough for over a week - doc says it is 'just a bad cough'. Me and him slept downstairs last night so DH could get some sleep as he is working today.

We got to about 11.30pm and it was like a scene from the Exorcist. He could have won gold medals for it. When he had finished, with bits of red pepper, cheese, pepperoni etc in his teeth he said 'Mum I feel loads better now'

Good luck for the rest of the weekend

I've had vomit too once on the rug, once in bed and once (hurray) in a bucket. I've also had a baby with an ear infection requiring antibiotics, an older daughter with bright green poo and a middle daughter (who did the vomiting) now complaining of a sore throat. Oh and the baby now has horrendous nappies because of the antibiotics - andis in a fould mood generally.

Join me at that lovely place known as 'wits end'

thankyou lovely ladies for that, just what i needed ~ i am not alone!

i had to laugh when I cam back from Asda with lovely new quilt and went to make up my bed...had aired the mattress overnight with all the windows open (after much scrubbing and applications of tea tree oil) and when I crawled back on it at 5.30 this morning it smelt okay. Forgot to leave the windows open whilst out, lovely spring sunshine pouring in to the room...walked in with delusions of cleanliness and the smell nearly knocked me over!!! Think I might be investing in a new mattress, unless you've got any suggestions?.....

Oh and dh is currently in yard hosing down previous (almost new quilt) with pressure washer (won't fit in washer and there isn't a launderette for miles - it's a kind of kill or cure, and to be honest i'm losing the will to care......now where's that gin?
