Told the DS's today that H and I are splitting up and that H is moving out next weekend..........

and either our arguing is REALLY REALLY bad (ok it's bad but I don't think it's terrible) or DS1 just didn't really "get" what we said to him at all......

He was upset initially - for all of about 2 minutes.......and then started saying how he was looking forward to next weekend

Now worried it's going to be a real shock when he realises what we were talking about

I hope so......he mentioned a few times to me about the arguing and we told him that the arguing won't happen when we're not living together...

My db's kids have never bothered tbh. They were happy the arguing had stopped. Your dc will be ok FAQ xx

I guess only time will tell - it just concerns me that he was so casual about it - after we'd told them he was even (happily) helping H pack some of the DVD's up and helping him "decide" which ones to take and which to leave............oh and "giving" him one of the school photos we had have up of him to take with him !
