DD2 is 6.5. One of those who take a long time to sort out at night. We've had the odd few dry ones over the last year and decide to go for it.

She's had 8 dry nights out of 16. But it went better near the start. The last four have been dry and we are all dispirited by the washing and morning baths.

She doesn't drink - apart from a mouthful of water after about 5pm.

She has a 'lights out play' at the pont dd1 settles down to sleep and last night I made her wee again at the end of that, around 8.15. Still wet.

Should we carry on or give up for now?

I would leave it for a while (? 6 months). Doesn't sound like you can do anything different. She's just not ready.

From what i have read, I don't think you can train a child to be dry overnight. Either they're ready or they're not. I could be wrong.
