At about 20 months DD loved her toy kitchen and all things related. Especially her tea set. Also play food etc. We've got this one (which I love! and remember mumsnet discount) but you'll find loads if you search. so cute

It was pretty soon after that that DUPLO got a look in.

Also all things painting and drawing etc.

For what its worth she's now almost 2 and the teaset and playfood still gets daily use.

ELC have some lovely Happyland sets my avourite has to be the post office and airport set, Playdough is also on offer and that can be lots of fun too. I bought the click clack catterpillar for the children I work with 1-2 year olds and although they loved it - it soon fell apart. Puzzles are fun too but can be a bit hit and miss with some, I'm loving the laugh and learn piggy bank on ELC website that looks like fun as does my first shop and you can add your own tins from the cupboards etc.

Good Luck and have fun - I used to love buying for the toddlers at work.
