Lying in in bed in a panic as I thought I had chosen my pram yesterday and was going to go for the baby zen yo yo but before I went to the shop I didn’t realise you couldn't have a changing bag over the bars at the front. Does anyone struggle with this? I know you can have the clip on bag at the bottom but is that the same or will I need a back pack as well?

sorry well aware first world problems but as a soon to be first time mum I just don’t want to spend all this money and regret it!!

Babyzen yo-yo is awesome. You will not regret it. We had no problem slotting a standard changing bag into the storage at the bottom and didn’t need a backpack but it’s down to your personal preference.

Huh? You can add various size bags.
i usually day to day just add small toiletry type changing bag in thing shopping bag underneath as that’s all I need.
But I have when travelling added my large mountain buggy bag to handle easily using hardly changing bag straps and it fits fine even with Ds napping. That’s a pretty large bag at max hand luggage under seat size

The Yo-Yo is brilliant, you won't regret it.

I've never carried a bag over the bars at the front. Use the storage underneath, it's easier and more stable.

I never had one of these massive bags. 3-4 nappies, half pack of wipes, spare sleepsuit (or later on vest/tights) that‘s it. No need for a massive bag.

You put the changing bag in the pram when your baby refuses to go in it and you have to sling them anyway

Comebacksoon · 15/10/2023 06:14

In case it helps, you can use any bag as a changing bag. Even a jute bag with nappies, wipes, mat, change of clothes in will do. It might be easier to fit something under there if you just use a bag IYSWIM

If you look at this example. You can see this is a large hand luggage size bag and this will fit over any pram. You won’t really need that daily, but virtually any changing bag or pram bag will come with pram clips. You just clip the straps around handle and then cup any bag on.
We used a little pram organiser on main pram the same way.
You can also buy generic pram bag clips separately.

Somewher like here you can see virtually any of these bags whether large or mini organiser can clip on

Unless you’re bottle feeding you won’t need a massive bag. I had a Tiba & Marl buggy organiser and that was plenty. I never really understood what my NCT friends needed in their massive backpacks!

Yep, pare down what you take out with you. I used to take a small messenger bag for all day, SIL used to take everything including the kitchen sink for a 5 min walk to the shops. Guess which of us went out more often!

ChateauProvence · 15/10/2023 06:23

Thanks all I really appreciate all the responses and has made me feel much better about my choice

@Porridgeislife hopefully I can breastfeed but if that doesn’t go to plan then I may end up bottle feeding but I suppose I could use the clip on yo yo if I need to
