Does this sound like a bug?

On Wednesday evening my little boy was asleep and was very sick at 12 midnight, he was sick multiple times through the night and morning with the last lot of sick at 9am Thursday morning. He then had one very loose bowel movement. Aside from tiredness he's been fine since until 5.30pm this evening when he has projectile vomited everywhere.

Does this sound like a bug? The reason I'm not sure is because we've had circa 36 hours between vomiting episodes. Generally if he's sick it's when he's been at my mums, and both on Wednesday and today he has been. She doesn't feed him anything different to us, but one thing he does have there is ribena - he had one small cup today and no food.

I'd appreciate thoughts- a bug with a 36 hour gap or something food / drink related, perhaps ribena?

I’d be surprised if a cup of Ribena had him vomiting for 9 hours.

ribena is great if he wants it when he is ill, very sugary.

Maybe he has covid? It is absolutely rife at the moment

My son had a bug where he was sick every 36-48 hours for about a week. It was frustrating as you thought it was over and then came back again.

From experience I also think Ribena can make sickness bugs worse due to the richness but I could be wrong. The Ribena won't be the cause though.

Thanks for all the comments. Possibly clutching at straws with the ribena, just trying to think outside of the box! I didn't realise sickness bugs could be spread out
