Is this normal for 7 month old

We've been weaning DD since she was 6 months, she's almost 8 months and while she's interested in food she will take the food in her mouth then push it out with her tongue, doesn't really swallow much. She's EBF and doesn't take a dummy. I'm wondering if her tongue thrust reflex is still in place

It’s definitely possible as it can stick around until 7 months. Are you doing purées on a spoon? You might be better off on finger foods as she should be able to get the food into her mouth properly as opposed to the spoon triggering the reflex and it all going down her chin. We're doing a mixture of purees and BLW, we do find that she likes to feed herself though she definitely gags more
