4 month regression or something worse?!

FTM here - my DD has just turned 4 months old. She’s always been a great sleeper at night (sleeping through from about 8 weeks!) but has always struggled with naps. I think this has been a combination of FOMO and just that she gets so much sleep at night.

However for the last week or so getting her to fall asleep has been an absolute nightmare - think screaming fits until she’s made herself sick, skipping naps altogether because she’s cried that long etc. This is for both naps and at night time, all the tricks and routines we have built up are failing! She’s also waking up after short naps when she’s clearly still tired but won’t settle again for me.

DD is still sleeping through the night so I can’t complain too much but the screaming is never ending! My DP and DM are concerned there could be something underlying causing this and think I should speak to the HV/GP but I’ve always found them pretty useless.

Does this sound like anyone’s experience with the 4 month regression or should I be more worried?

Sounds exactly like the 4 month regression. It's hard work, good luck!
