Newly potty trained 2.7 year old - would you put pullups on him for a longish flight

I don't know what to do about this - we have a 7 hour flight and he is not that confident at using the potty or loo out - would rather hold it in until he gets home but this won't be an option here.

Should I put him in pullups for the flight?

i would say to tell him there pants and to ask mummy for the toilet but you dont want to risk any accidents on plane seats

so just do it he is still young so amy fall asleep and not be able to control it

we have come back recently from a 9 hour flight and on the way home it was a night flight i took him to the toilet before he went to sleep he was totally dry when he woke 9 hours later i did put a thick towel under him and had spare pants and trousers in my hand luggage he had been in pants fulltime for only 3 weeks at this time but after re reading your post when i took him to the loo he wasnt happy as planes tend to be rather noisy in the bathroom and he was scared of the noise of the flush i think this may have put him of going in there again to be honest even though he was great i think a pull up is a good idea, theres always a queue for the toilet and we had our seatbelt signs on for 2 hours cos of turbulence im glad he wasnt desperate i was 11 wks pg then terrible having to wait

I would put pull ups on. I once had witnessed the most awful episode where a young child (3ish) needed the loo just before take off and the stewardesses wouldn't let him go until the seatbelt sign went off - he was screaming because he didn't want to wet himself but eventually did - he sobbed for the duration of a 4 hour flight because he had peed himself

That's so sad soapbox - that poor little one.

Ok pull ups it is. I'm sure if we just say they are special plane pants he will get it and not be confused or set back on his potty training.

I hadn't even considered his seat getting wet stupidly and was just thinking of his clothes getting trashed. That would be dreadful - having to sit on a weed on seat for hours!!
