One year old milk & food schedule

Hi all. My baby is a good eater and is on three meals a day. She’s been EBF until recently (alongside her food). I’ve just made the transition from EBF to milk (soy as she’s dairy intolerant). Wow it’s been much much easier than I thought. She is happy to drink her soy milk straight from a cup.

My question is because Ive always fed on demand with EBF what is a good way/schedule to now give her her soy milk? I read on the nhs she needs 600ml a day.

Do people do three cups / bottles a day? With meals? Or as snacks between meals? Any advice much appreciated.

I did it twice a day because mine was happy to have the large drink. First milk was with breakfast and all other meals had water. The last cup was for supper, just before bed.

There really isn't a wrong way to do it I don't think. If she's taken to it well and is eating well, then fit the milk in in a way that suits your schedule. The important thing is the drink, not the timings.

I'm not sure where you've got the 600 no from? I thought it was 300 ml between one and two years?

You’re right. I need to see if I can amend my initial post. I read 600ml on an article a while back but it was up to 12 months which was right when I read it at the time as my Dc was ten months at the time. You’re right that it’s about 300ml for over twelve months. Thanks for pointing this out! :)

We do one cup of milk with breakfast (replaced a bottle she had after breakfast) and one bottle at bed time.
