I am a divorced guy, doing 50-50. My kids are boy 10 and girl 8. I don’t allow YouTube in my house but the kids watch it at their mum’s.
After an internet safety briefing at the school I asked the kids the kind of videos they watch. I won’t say more in case my ex wife is on here. But I was pretty alarmed about stuff that seemed very age-inappropriate.
As kids will come across YouTube at friends’ houses too, how do I keep mine safe? Is it a case of finally, reluctantly allowing it at my home and watching with them to show what is suitable content and how not to stray into unsuitable areas? If you have Youtube at home how do you manage the risks? Please help this dad.
