Any welsh parents trying to keep the language alive?

I was born in Wales and had welsh education until comprehensive school and I also selected it as a GCSE option and got and A. I love welsh can read it fluently and pronounce it but a bit rusty on speaking it. But I highly encourage it in my household, however my kids seem to cringe or tell me off for speaking welsh and say mum speak English. Sort of miffs me off, we ARE welsh and it should be dab hand to us. My own mother and father never spoke it (my dad is irish) and it wasn't so much of a thing when my mum was in school. Even my own partner can't speak welsh despite him BEING full welsh. I just want to upkeep it in our household but no one supports it, should I persist?
