Hi.

I have a daughter turning 8 in 3 weeks (lands on a Sunday) and another daughter turning 3 a day later (Monday).

They usually get a day out each on their birthdays. But on the Monday my husband works and all my children are in school.

Would you do the 3 year olds day out on the Saturday before or after?

The Saturday after so you’re not doing 2 big days out 2 days running. You could reveal where you’re going for the 3yo’s day as part of a birthday present, perhaps.

I would have a day out for the 8 year old the weekend of their birthday, and then a day out for the 3 year old the following weekend.
