Hi, I’m hoping someone will have some ideas. DD is 22m old. She’s been poorly pretty much since 4th September and is just now coming out of it. It was one virus after another. She was really badly constipated with it all and we were told to make her drink this powder stuff and since then she will not drink it’s a nightmare. We’ve stopped the powder drink, yesterday I got a cheap baby bottle and a cheap 6m teat she will drink from this so has had 250ml today. But really she shouldn’t have bottles should she at this age, how can I increase her drinking? Any tips for weaning her back off the bottle onto cups again? Wish I’d never pushed her to drink the powder stuff now I feel awful it’s clearly caused a negative association with liquid. Please any tips welcome I just want to help her!!

If she's poorly and she's drinking it I wouldn't worry too much yet about weaning her back of it.

Is she any better after she's had some pain relief?

Have you tried her with things like a homemade ice-lolly, some orange juice diluted with sparking water, a homemade milkshake or some high water foods like melon, broccoli, cauliflower, soup, tinned fruit or jelly?

If constipation is still an issue, have a look at the ERIC website. That's a very good resource Flowers

Home made ice lolly.
Try a sippy cup, a sports lid, and a straw, anything to get her drinking.
Can you slip some prunes into her food ?

Nuby sip n grip. The teat is same material as a bottle teat but not the shape. My 1yo won't drink water from anything else

My toddlers would drink anything if I put ice cubes in it!

Failing that buy her a glitzy new drinks bottle

Water melon / ice lollies.
