Just curious to hear how others would redistribute their time, if they could.

I always found feeding and cooking very time consuming and not always appreciated.

I'm still at the feeding to sleep stage and it takes about an hour. In that time, she slaps me repeatedly int the face. Hate that.

Also hate having to be really careful of protecting her naps. She's a nightmare if she doesn't nap on time
and I have to plan my whole day around it, often not doing things to protect the nap.

Meal planning... something which everyone will eat, ticks all of the nutritional boxes (at least over a few days if not in a particular meal) and can be magically produced in the window between various after school activities.

Also, wiping the kitchen worktop. I swear doing it generates the need for a child to have a snack or something which creates crumbs.

This! I don't mind cooking, but thinking of meals that include 3 people's fussy ways, intolerances, desire to eat chicken and a vegetarian is wearing.

NuffSaidSam · 08/10/2023 10:57

Definitely the planning meals, cooking and tidying up after. There would be so much more time for fun things if that was taken out.

Picking up/dropping off and endless conversations about the SAME thing 😂
