Hi there, so today my three-year-old received his nasal flu vaccine. Unfortunately, when she put the first spray his nose he moved and the spray went in my face. She managed to get the second spray in his nose.
She was aware that none of the first spray went in his nose and it went all over my face. She told me to not worry and said that one spray would be enough.
To be honest, I'm not really sure how confident I feel in this advice. If one spray is enough, why did they give two? I was unsure whether to give him the vaccine at all but decided to and seeing how I've made that decision I feel he should be getting the full dose.
Has anybody been in this position before? Does anybody have any knowledge on how the flu vaccines work for children and whether this will be enough? Also should I be worried that it went in my face as I have chosen to not have the flu vaccine myself as it makes me very poorly.
Thank you!
