Anyone’s child not into Toniebox/Yoto?

I’m going to get one for DS’s third birthday present, but am just slightly worried he will largely ignore it. Do children this young like it? I know some do but are any just not into it?

We got one for our daughter's 3rd Christmas. She uses it every night at bedtime. We wished she'd use it out of the bedroom more but like that she uses songs/stories to sleep after we read her stories rather than white noise or random monitor songs like before

We got a Tonies when DS was approx 3 and he still uses it now (5.5). He also only uses it when he goes to bed but we take it on holiday etc and there are Tonies aimed at older children too. We've been very happy with it.

It's a great present idea and lots of children enjoy them at this age. Smile

Out of the 2 I would suggest a Yoto Player as if he doesn't take to it straight away there's plenty of time for him to grow into it. Where as i've seen many parents replace the Toniebox as their children are growing out of it before they start school.

I did wonder that @Whinge and also slightly worried that the figures might be used as toys! But my main ‘concern’ is that he wouldn’t really follow an audiobook without accompanying pictures? I’m probably underestimating what he knows and understands though (I’ve done this before.) But then I also thought Yoto might be a nice present in the future. He has a December birthday so gifts are often tricky.

My husbands cousins have the Tonies for their 3-4 year olds and they LOVE them. I'm getting my 7yr old the Yoto for Christmas, i think it'll be great for bedtime/if she wakes in the night/if i'm away as i'll record me reading a bedtime story to one of the blank cards for if she needs/wants to hear me.

Yes, I’m hoping it will help on nights I need to do bedtime alone and DD is in full blown witching hour mood (she is 11 weeks!)
