Hi! Just after some advice really.
DS is 7months and caught a sickness bug 10 days ago. He would really tense up, be sick then let out a heart wrenching cry/scream. He had diarrhoea aswell. For the first few days he was so subdued and not surprisingly didn't want any formula, would mainly just have cooled boiled water. Sickness finally stopped about 3-4 days ago and his poo is back to normal but his appetite still isn't great.
Before the bug he would have 6oz formula 4-5 times a day plus some solids but now he'll only drink 3oz in one go, around 3-4 times a day.
He is also waking around 3 times a night crying hysterically and the only thing that will settle him is a bottle, which he'll drink 3oz still. So he's not getting much less than what he was having before overall and he's eating some solids again but he never used to wake in the night for a feed and he definitely never used to wake up crying like he does.
We've been to the gp as I thought it might be something else, maybe an ear infection, but they said he is fine, just getting over the bug still.
DS is my 2nd baby but I've never had experience of a little baby with a bug so not sure what's normal? Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same. It's the nights that I'm finding the hardest, I'm wondering if he's waking because he's hungry but he just won't take any more formula during the day.
