I honestly think if someone had to see my 14 month old who doesn't know her would think she's in a battered home! She started walking at 10/11 month and she's been non stop since bumps, falls and has no fear! I say she's got football legs like her brother who plays football as she's constantly getting wee bruises, or too busy watching tv n not where she's going n falls. She fell off her wee talking chair cause instead of sitting on the chair she's trying to sit on the back rest of the chair and feet on the seat, and when I got up to get her off it she laughed and tried to get down quicker n fell n bumped her head. Now she's got a bruise just a live her eyebrow. Honestly, need eyes constantly on her she's so fast and always up to something (shes defo been here b4) please tell me this isn't just my crazy child. Ma mum said that's what kids do, they bump, fall etc as they learn but I just wanna wrap her up in cotton wool n protect her.

I had a climber too. You really have to go round and toddler proof the house. We put foam bumpers on every bit of furniture and the corners of walls/door jambs. We did not let them play on any tile/wood floors- always on carpet and threw down soft rugs on top of the carpet for good measure.

My two were/are the same. When my eldest had her first nursery photos done they asked me if i wanted the bruises airbrushed out.

I have carpets down and also the big foam jigsaw puzzle foam matts. Also a big playpen that has the same in size it and she just try's to climb over. I block off half my livingroom as it's massive with all her matts & toys n safety gates and she still manages to fall n climb, she's no fear n just jumps off or climbs am constantly on edge watching her or catching her.
