What am I doing wrong? Separation anxiety 14 months

DS went through a horrific period of separation anxiety from about 8-11 months. It was awful. Couldn't even leave him with DH. It passed thankfully but now it's seems it's back with a vengeance...

DS was breastfed, me and him have coslept quite a bit in the past as he used to wake every 2hrs. Now he sleeps in his cot until around 4.30am when I bring him into the spare bed with me (if he wakes before then I put him back in his cot but I can't find the energy to fight it at 4.30am...)

DH seems to think these could be among the reasons why he's so clingy with me. I think it's just another phase, but usually when I hear about separation anxiety the child can normally be left with the other parent.

Tonight DS went into hysterics when DH carried him into the front room, despite me being just in the kitchen and him being able to walk back to me.

DS just doesn't even seem to really like DH that much - even though he makes him laugh like no one else and spends as much time with him as he can. He works long hours so it is tough. He feeds him, changes him, bathes him, cuddles, plays... everything.

When DH comes home from work DS will walk towards him smiling but then turn around and toddle back to me and I can see it's so hard for DH. Sometimes we're both able to pick him up from nursery at the same time and he never goes to DH, only me. His key worker said he's crying there now as well when she leaves the room.

I'm sure it's all normal I just don't know what to do and I am so anxious it'll be like last time where for months I couldn't even shower or wee without hearing him scream.

I'm supposed to be going out after work twice this week (only until about 7.30pm) but I feel like I can't as it'll be so stressful for both DS and DH. Sorry... long post!
