OK so looking into minecraft, I just don't know enough about this game 🙃

So my son wants to play more and I want to give him the chance but there seems to be so many options that I am unsure what's best.

Currently we have a laptop, xbox 360 (not currently connect live and on our only TV) and an android tablet.

He plays minecraft education on rhe Radlett but I am aware its restrictive especially since there is no keyboard so all controls on the screen.

I am wanting to know what's the best device to play on and easiest device but also could he say play on laptop one day and play on tablet another? Would that cost more?

We are restrictive as laptop I need at time and we have 1 tablet between myself and 2 school children who need it for homework. Xbox may be option at times jut connected to our only TV so only really an option when his younger siblings go to bed before his bedtime.

I dont want to be buying the wrong option and wasting money, we are on a tight budget as is so may be a Christmas present.

Thanks for reading

There are two different versions of Minecraft as far as I’m aware. Java edition which is simply for pc and bedrock edition which can be played on Xbox/console etc. I think you can also buy bedrock for the pc. If you’re any to play with friends you need to be on the same edition as them.

I don’t believe you can play it anywhere as in play one time on pc and log in again on Xbox. You would have to buy it in both I think.
