What do you do with your baby?

DD is 4 months and has 3(ish!) naps a day.

I love spending time with her but I’m not sure I’m particularly entertaining for her!

We do baby classes Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays but Mondays and Fridays are a bit hit and miss.

Today for example, after she woke up I fed her (she’d BF and sleeps through so this feed is always a long one!) and basically chatted to her for a while before her first nap (went out for a walk to get her to sleep).

Between nap 1 and nap 2 we did the weekly food shop and then played on her piano mat for a while.

Between nap 2 and 3 we went for a walk, went to the doctors and went to pick up her prescription.

After nap 3 we have played with some toys, done some tummy time etc but I feel like she’s not particularly interested in any of it! She’ll reach and grab toys but basically just want to put them in her mouth.

I feel like a lot of her wake windows ends up spent on walks cause I’m not sure what else to do with her…any pro tips?

This is pretty much exactly what I did with mine at that age! Its hard to pass the time but they’ll be taking it all in - I went by the mantra that everything is baby sensory at that age! Library is a good one if you have one locally, just to sit and look at the baby books (although I’m not sure mine would’ve entertained me reading to him at that age). Also go for a nice coffee or lunch while baby is portable and happy to sit in the pram. Sounds great though. I found once they can sit up it’s a game changer for playing with them x

You sound like you are doing great things with your little one and giving them loads of things to see and hear each day. They will be more interested in things in the next few months!
