Sorry for the title, but that's literally what this is......
I took my son to the GP when he was 10 because he literally couldn't get anywhere close to retracting his foreskin and it was bothering him that he couldn't wash it properly, and it was different to his Dad. GP recommended trying to stretch it gently in the bath/private without putting loads of stress on it 😐
Then we ended up in a & e because he tried to force it back , almost passed out and it basically looked as though he'd turned the end totally inside out and nobody could help him right it.....the nurse was amazing and he was so brave
GP said that he'd eventually be able to do it as he grows and goes through puberty.....
But ....
I'm not trying to doubt anyone, obviously
it's just bothering him a lot and it seems as though the string (frenulum?) Is what's tight rather than the bit round the end?
He's dead good at showing me, but I guess I wanted to ask if anyone had been in this position ? It doesn't seem like his actual foreskin is too tight....it looks like that string is stopping it
If anything needs sorting then I'd sooner do it sooner than later.
I'm taking him back to GP again next week, but wanted to ask here too xxxx
Thank you x

My son was in a similar position though much younger and was circumcised. No problems after that.

Thanks for your reply....GP said to wait until actual puberty, masturbation etc and things would stretch, but it's honestly that bit that looks so tight and thick that I can't see how it'll get better 😔
He's paranoid about not being able to clean himself and I just want to get him sorted if I need to x

If it's the frenulum there isn't much you can do except let him grow out of it. It will eventually get longer. I had a tight foreskin when I was a kid and would have what looks like stretch marks at the end of my foreskin that would cause pain. If he doesn't have that then he doesn't have tight foreskin more than likely. Just don't get him circumsized unless absolutely necessary cause that will callus his head when he gets older and make it less sensitive.
