What to do with babies in winter

I have 6m old twins, 4 months corrected.
I usually get out a lot for walks etc, but now the weather is rubbish I'm at a bit of a loss! We have two baby groups a week.

What do you all do with your babies over winter?

Still go for walks, just dress appropriately! Do things that you want to do - I go to museums, NT places, exhibitions, shopping.

We do baby classes or other indoor play every day. Soft play, children's centres, swimming, baby gym, rhyme time. At that age I also did a lot of adult activities with baby in sling - guided walks, museum and gallery exhibitions, parent and baby cinema. We do get outdoors by just stopping at a park or playground on the way home, but the weather is too unreliable to make it a main activity.

Still walk a lot. Get some cosy footmuffs for pram.

If you have a shopping centre, ikea, John Lewis or other large stores you can always go for a wander around indoors. End up in cafe if they nap. I used to take Ds just to the supermarket often for a stroll in trolley and just pick up basics

As above still walk lots, rain or shine just dress appropriately.

Small soft plays
Library rhymetime
Wandering round shops
Swimming (if you can find another adult to go with you)
Meeting up with friends for lunch/coffee
Visiting grandparents/relatives

Above suggestion of doing adult things is great whilst you've got the chance as they are still small enough. I went to Tower of London recently and took baby with me and we had a great time.

Thanks all, I'll still walk as long as its not raining too much!

Swimming etc is difficult with twins as you need one adult per baby.

Love lots of the other suggestions

Library is always a good place to go.

Lots of meet-ups with other mums/friends/family.

Museums/galleries/shops, anywhere you can have a wander and there's stuff for the babies to look at.

Softplay (if desperate!).

Have a look further afield for any other baby groups.
