Hi,

Just wondering people's opinions and experiences of baby yoga class? Worth a go?

Yes, if you have the budget. It gets you out of the house and gives you a chance to make new friends. I'm still in touch with people from my ante-natal yoga class and DD has just started 6th form!

Same as all baby classes - if the other mums are nice and you like the teacher then it's worth going. The baby doesn't care either way but you will enjoy a good class, whether that's yoga, signing, sensory etc because it will get you talking to adults.

I did two different baby yoga classes - one that was yoga for mums with the babies included in the moves, and one that was just moves for the baby. Both enjoyable, but largely because of the teachers.

It’s about getting yourself out the house and doing something nice with the baby and perhaps meeting some other mums.
ours had a coffee session immediately afterwards

I liked it, baby did not benefit at all IMO but certainly didn’t hate it.

Currently on week 3 of a course with my DD.

I find it really helps me (more than DD); nice friendly little group who all natter and share stories of our babies.
My DD is quite an active baby & is very mobile, she'll take herself off to see the other babies on their mats - good bit of development for them all I think, baby babbling back & forth to one another.

It's a nice thing to do but it's just a relaxed carer and baby group with some organised activity really- your baby is not going to be perfecting their natarajasana 😄

This made me laugh 😂 I was hoping for a perfect downward dog from baby tbh haha
