Did anyone have a baby whose only CMPA symptom was terrible at feeding ie, bottle refusing, screaming and fussing at the bottle and slow weight gain. Help please.

How old is baby ? Dd had late onset symptoms more than anything , I guess the immediate ones would've been the fussing on the bottle, writhing around as if in pain, not being lay down flat due to reflux, also screaming when passing wind or opening bowels.
The rash and eczema and mucus in poo came on gradually over a period of 2-3 weeks

Have you read Rowena Bennett's book on Bottle Aversion. It's not something that mine have had but I've seen other MNers recommend this one often, usually saying that they've had success with it.

I'd also see the GP and get an alternative formula and a referral to a Paediatric Dietician. Have a read of this from Allergy UK before you see the GP. When I went about CMPA I printed off the article and took it with me. Allergy UK is a well respected charity so your GP shouldn't think that you're reading "random stuff on the internet".

And if you're offering solids, they'll all need to be DF too for now Flowers

Just a quick one about kendamil - if it is cmpa kendamil is made with full fat cream. Our dd was in so much pain off kendamil her poos were explosive and full of mucus. Worth investigating

It might be worth trying an anti reflux formula for a week to see how you go. Fussing at the bottle and discomfort could be reflux related. My youngest didn't want to feed because she associated it with being uncomfortable and got very upset at bottle time.

We went onto SMA Anti Reflux and it was a game changer.

You will need the next size up in teats though because the milk is much thicker.

We are under peads due to baby being prem and we’re prescribed nutramigen months ago but he settled down so much and was taking his bottles fine for a good month so I never switched. It’s just so inconsistent which makes me think it can’t be cmpa
