Did you find age 3 harder than 2?

DD is turning 3 in December. I found her behaviour very tricky between 1.5 to 2 years and also the addition of her brother didn’t help this understandably but after she hit 2 she has been mostly lovely since her speech came on and she communicates well.
In the past month or two I feel like I am constantly on egg shells! Everything is a battle. Getting dressed, her hair being brushed, leaving to go somewhere. She asks for something then 0.2 seconds later has a huge meltdown that she doesn’t want it and how dare I give it to her eg sandwich for lunch.
I find it so draining. Most of the time this results in her hitting me 😞 I’ve tried countdowns for getting ready, leaving park etc this has no effect. With the hitting I move her away and explain you don’t hit people and it makes me sad. This again does not work. I just feel stuck in a rut and it’s starting to really get me down. Does anyone have any advice?

No advice just solidarity. Two was fantastic - no terrible twos just fun and interesting. She turned 3 and turned into a bloody teenager, albeit one that still gets up before 6. Huffing puffing flouncing arguing refusing to listen/respond. Does my nut.

Yes - I posted this same question when my daughter was that age! It does get better. I liked Janet Lansbury and How to talk so little kids will listen.

Also has she stopped napping? That is a hard stage if so

Thank you for the replies, at least we are not alone! I can’t even blame her moods on teething now 😂 luckily she still does nap and is a good sleeper thank god! So can’t complain there
