Take kid to concert when pregnant??

Wasn't sure which topic to put it under 🤣

DD absolutely dying to see Noel Gallagher so I bought us tickets for her 13th birthday. However, found out I'm pregnant since booking the tickets a while ago. I'll be 5 months by then.

I know volume wise it's safe for the baby but it still makes me a bit nervy. I float in spiritial circles and know sound healing needs to be done with care when pregnant. I also expect there might be some lary-ness and I feel a bit nervy about being bumped. She'd be gutted if she can't go though and I haven't really got anyone else to take her.

WWYD?

Honestly personally I'd just carry on my life as normal and go.

I’ve been to a rock gig at eight and a half months, all was well.

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 20/09/2023 21:14

Well ... I went to a standing concert at 14 weeks (I just stayed further back away from jostling), and I plan to go to 2 more concerts (sitting though) at around 35 weeks 😂. I would (and am) going!

Just don’t stand near the front. I went to an outdoor festival at the weekend at 6 months pregnant, all was fine.

I went to see slipknot and papa roach - one 8 days before my due date and one about a month before and neither seemed to have had any ill effects on my kids (both have shit taste in music though). You'll be fine just don't go right into the crowd if you're worried about getting jostled.

Havana2345 · 20/09/2023 21:18

Ah, I'm probably being a bit wet 😆

Also I think the effect on your daughter if you let her down will be greater than any impact it may have on the child you're pregnant with.

Healing via vibrations from instruments like gongs, singing bowls, chimes etc. Very relaxing.

I wouldn't give it a second thought. Baby will be fine, go and have fun 😀

Havana2345 · 20/09/2023 21:28

Cheers everyone. She would be gutted if I didn't go with her. I'm pretty sure it's seats anyway, so whatever. I'll toughen up a bit!

I went to see pulp back in 2011 when I was about 5 months pregnant with my son, it was a busy outdoor gig in Hyde park. Was fab, glad I went especially as they didn't play again til this summer!

Havana2345 · 21/09/2023 20:19

@breadwidow ah cheers. Have always wanted to see Noel myself, too, so just going to go for it I think.
