For Cybex Libelle and Babyzen Yoyo2 owners!

I'd be so grateful if someone who owns a Babyzen Yoyo2 wouldn't mind testing to see if it could fit inside a cabin sized suitcase, and let me know if it slots inside and you can zip the case shut.

And the same for a Cybex Libelle, could it fit inside and will it zip shut.

Massive thank you to anyone who takes time out to help with this!

Hi OP, I'm not sure there's much point to this since all cabin suitcases are slightly different sizes inside and out!
Why does it need to go inside a suitcase?

Alwaystired2023 · 19/09/2023 15:14

I really don't think the yo-yo would, it would fit in a suitcase, but not a teeny 'cabin sized one'. You can buy the bag to put it in on the plane if you are worrying about protecting it but it is bigger than a cabin sized suitcase when folded I'm sure

Batbatbatty · 19/09/2023 15:15

There's also a substantial difference between a Ryanair cabin size bag and an easyJet one, for example!

No it wouldn’t. The YoYo is pushing the max of cabin allowed dimensions so even if it’s about the same as a cabin bag on paper taking into account the shell of the suitcase, the wheels and the handle then obviously the space inside the suitcase is considerably smaller. Cybex is going to be the same. Also just why?

Rior · 19/09/2023 15:44

The reason I ask is because TUI are a bit funny about collapsible pushchairs being taken into the cabin, so I was thinking perhaps if we could put it inside a cabin sized case, it wouldn't be a problem for them to allow it

Thank you for all the replies regarding rhe yoyo.

Anyone have a Cybex Libelle?

Ohh gotcha! YoYo make a back pack bag so that’s probably your best bet and since it’s soft and exactly the right size it won’t be adding any bulk that’ll push you over cabin bag dimensioning.

Batbatbatty · 19/09/2023 15:55

The yo-yo is officially too wide for the TUI size anyway, even without a bag over it.

The Libelle would definitely comply. But again, unless you know the inside dimensions of some randoms suitcase there no point in anyone checking. Just get a bag to fit it in, either official or find a cheap, thin backpack on Amazon!

Cdoc · 19/09/2023 21:53

We bought a libelle as it’s supposed to comply with size requirements to be taken as cabin baggage. I really don’t think it would fit inside a carry on suitcase, but you can buy a cover for it in boots. Flying this week and plan to take it onboard (flying jet2 though)

Rior · 20/09/2023 13:31

Thanks so much for your replies everyone! Incredibly helpful.
I've just cancelled my Yoyo order and will buy the libelle, as it's the only one that seems to be within the TUI size restriction. Thanks all!

@Cdoc I will definitely get the cover thank you! Would love to hear how you get on with the libelle on holiday. Have a great time!

Just to update you, it’s definitely in the size limits as we took it on the plane in the overhead this morning and no one told us we couldn’t! They actually encouraged us to so that we had it ready the other side 😊

I have never been stopped from taking a folded yo-yo on the plane even on Ryanair. We collapse it, carry it over our shoulders and book the very back of the plane
