11 m/o doesnt clap or wave

Hello. Paranoid FTM here so bear with me. My LO is almost 11 m/o and doesn’t clap or wave nor is she showing signs she’s on the way to doing it. All the other babies in her group are doing this and are younger than her. I’m starting to get worried. Everything u can think of to help her learn it, I promise I’ve done it. Is this normal?!!

She's fine. I'm assuming she's very interactive with you. She's well within the scope for not doing this yet. Kids do things at different ages and stages. Just enjoy your little pickle!

It's a 12 month milestone that most babies do at least ONE of these three things:
-clap
-wave
-point

If your baby isn't doing any of these in another month, there isn't necessarily something wrong. Your HV can offer more advice. It would probably be flagged at the 12 month review, if you do one

My DD suddenly started waving just after 11 months. She only started pointing at around 12 months and clapping at 13 months.

Try not to worry. She will when she is ready.

Don’t worry, every baby develops at their own pace. My 15 month old can point and clap but he still hasn’t figured out waving, he’ll get there eventually just like your little one will. I’m sure she’s developing nicely at her own pace, it’s hard but try not to compare her to other babies that are of similar ages. You’re doing a fabulous job!!💓

Hey, so sorry - just seen this! Oh god how I used to stress lol.

Shes 3 1/2 now, can't remember when she started clapping or waving but I am sure it wasnt long after. She was quite a slow developer between ages 0 - 1Year but then absolutely STORMED ahead with her speech, speaking so well for her age. She doesnt stop talking now, she's super smart and I have 0 worries x
