DC first day at nursery today. She was fine but i cant stop crying. Is this normal? How do I get over it? I know she will have a ball I'm just so upset.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I sent mine at 5 months old during Covid having not been able to go inside to inspect it and didn't feel guilty at all. I love my job and we need it to live.

But one day we went in for a parents day and saw something I didn't feel was safe. While I did point it out, I sobbed the whole way to work that I still had to leave him. It broke me.

That said, he loves nursery and they are really good. He comes home having learned things all the time, can share, use a potty, be gentle with the babies. It is very much early childhood education and I'm so glad he's there.

We get lots of pictures of him having fun but this update I think he quite telling. DS really loves his main person!

I was crying my eyes out for the first week or so even though my DD was having a blast. It will get easier. Smile

@PumpkinSpiceSeason that must have been so tough. Thats great that you called out the problem and DS is enjoying himself. I did view the nursery beforehand and I am pleased I got the nursery I have, it would have been my first choice anyway but it's literally the only local option available.

@Olika I'm glad it's not just me and your DD is loving nursery. I think I get access to an app soon where I can see what DD is up to. Maybe that will make it easier. I find parenting so hard and I am excited in lots of ways to be back at work but I have never missed anyone like this.
