Bilateral hydronephrosis- other issues

Hi all. My LO was diagnosed with bilateral hydronephrosis at my 12 weeks scan and I had a c section at 37 weeks. He's now 6 weeks old and the right kidney is so large he needs a nephrostomy tube for 6 to 8 weeks while they drain his kidney and test its function etc.

All this aside he has been struggling awfully with colic (back arching, crying, fussing, grunting, fighting sleep, lots of wind and now sick most feeds). He won't sleep on his back or go in his crib so its contact naps or car seat if we have been on a drive. He had a tongue tie which was snipped 3 days ago and he's since been much worse. We have tried different bottles (mam, doc browns) as he has reflux (started silent, not so much now). What I am wondering is it anyone else's LO had bilateral hydronephrosis and if so did it also come with colic/reflux? I just don't want to keep trying all these things if it's a case of it will resolve once his kidneys are sorted and I'm losing my mind thinking this will never end and he will be crying forever.

The doctor said possible CMPA but he hates the milk and refuses the bottles so we went to lactose free which he happily takes and it does seem to help a little.

Please tell me this all gets better, I'm crying as much as he is at this point.
