How to stop one year old biting?

My 14 month old is having a bad time with teething and has started biting me and DH hard enough to hurt and leave a bruise. Any tips on how to stop this? I have been saying ‘ouch’ and putting her down straight away and saying ‘we do not bite’ although I don’t know how much comprehension she has. It’s been going on a few weeks now and I’m worried she might start biting at nursery too. The only thing that seems to work is giving her a dummy but we normally only use these for sleep. She doesn’t even like typical teething toys anymore.

She's only biting to ease the pain in her gums. If she doesn't have anything else to bite, then she'll bite you. Persist with different types of teething toys, there are loads of different shaped ones. You could try something like the attached picture.
