DS1 and I have a little ritual, when I'm dropping him off anywhere or putting him to bed.

It goes along the lines of:-
me- You make me happy
him- You make ME happy

me:- You make me smile
him:- You make ME smile

etc etc etc

Today he decided to change the script a bit

me:- You make me laugh
him:- You make me puke!!!

me:- You fill me with love
him:- You fill me with SICK.

Aww, lol. How old is he?

chrissnow · 04/03/2008 12:26

and what beautiful children you have. Gorgeous photography too.

nippersnappers · 04/03/2008 12:29

He is three and a half Bexie, and a real character, think he's been here before.
Thanks Chrissnow, yours too. Love your pics.

Thanks. We do seem to both be fans of the old black & white huh?
I'm assuming you did yours yourself? Very talented if so. Ours were professional, although we have some b&w ones that I and DH did and they're not far off as good really. I think it's just if you want enlarging you need the pro cameras. (also I selfishly wanted a pro pic of myself done so I could imagine I'm pretty!!)
MY dd1 appears to be going through a similar phase to your ds. She's gone from saying 'mommy I love you toooooooo much' to 'mommy you got big nose' (which isn't even true!!) 'mommy you got hoooge spot' (sadly was true!)

McDreamy · 04/03/2008 12:52

Couldn't resist a quick look, you both have amazingly beautiful children

BexieID · 04/03/2008 13:25

Bless him. Your kids are gorgeous! Lovely photos.

I just uploaded one of a handful of b/w ones I took of Tom in the summer. I left all my darkroom stuff at my mums as we have no room for it here! I much prefer my 35mm SLR to my digital one!

nippersnappers · 04/03/2008 13:36

Aw Bexie, he's a cutie pie too, as are yours McDreamy. I use digital but a SLR, can't get away with not looking through the camera.
Yes Chrissnow, I did mine myself, love black and white.
Kids just love to point out your failings though don't they!!
Any fans of In the Night Garden will notice that the Pontypines had there pics done at Venture.

nippersnappers you're in Scotland too. Do you have a website? I'd really like some proffessional photos of Tom (I would do them, but have no studio equipment!). The only ones i've had done of Tom were the ones for his entry to the local bonny baby competition! And he was a miserable bugger, lol.

nippersnappers · 04/03/2008 13:56

I do Bexie.
Go to www.nippersnappers.co.uk

Or I've got a paid ad on the Mumsnet Edinburgh local page.

Just click on the button and it'll take you straight to the site.

I'm so jealous! Thats something i'd love to do but wouldn't know where to start! I've photographed at a few weddings but I worked in a photolab then, so it was easy to get the prints done. Do you print yours yourself?

nippersnappers · 04/03/2008 14:29

Most of them, depends on how much work I've got on at the time.
Sometimes it's quicker to get them sent to a lab.
I do the contact sheets and Black and white prints myself though.

I miss the smell of chemicals! I sometimes go into Jessops just for the smell, lol. I love the smell of film too.

How much would you charge to come to Dumbarton?

nippersnappers · 04/03/2008 19:39

Bexie it would cost an extra £20 on top of the price on the website.

Probably best to discuss it off line though as I'm not sure what the mumsnet rules are regarding this stuff.

There is a link on my site that you can email me on.
